The Cultural and Education Programme continued today with another exciting episode.

Sixty local children aged between 6 and 12 years old had the privilege to visit the venue and get immersed into the inspirational values of the mind sports. During the visit, the children received an introductory lesson from a representative of the Flaming Mountains junior chess team and were then initiated to the game of chess by no less than the Chinese International Grandmaster GU Xiaobing, Romanian Grand Master, Alina L’Ami. The children showed an unprecedented sense of excitement and adrenaline for such a unique experience. SportAccord officials welcomed the young guests and gladly joined the session to play a few chess games with the children. SportAccord Director General, Mr.Vlad Marinescu, addressed the children saying, “keep dreaming and do not be afraid to dream, but never forget to always work hard in order to make your dreams come true”. In order to make this experience even more unforgettable, at the end of the session all the children were awarded a set of gifts by the SportAccord representatives.
